Queens of the Stone Age Put a Date on Perfecth

A silver lining to a wretched week. Queens of the Stone Age have announced the 30th of October as the due date for their ninth studio offering, Perfecth. Sophomore being the second album, what the hell is a ninth? That tall kid at the back of the class wearing a puffer jacket in summer? “Insignificant Other” joins its sibling “Easy Street” on my Spotify Liked Songs list, where they will inevitably stay in heavy rotation.

“A betrayed queen does not weep.” No, he writes a slinky riff that sits in the back of your throat like a stiff desert breeze and pairs it with his own harrowing story. He then gathers his mates and tours the world, letting everyone know exactly what you did.

“Insignificant Other” gives you something to ponder alone and something to dance to amongst a crowd of strangers.

A promotional video featuring the boys and their babies has also been released, giving us a brief glimpse into the mind of a madman, not to mention the wisdom teeth of a bass man:

Perfecth will be available everywhere you are, and anywhere you wanna be, October 30, 2026.

Queens of the Stone Age will be performing at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Sunday, December 20, 2026. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or the guy in the puffer jacket outside the arena, even though it’s 24° and muggy out.

You heard it here last.
